In a wide variety of industries, jobs in high places are carried out economically and cost-effectively using powered access platforms. But the demands placed on the technology can be extremely different -
sometimes the platform must be highly mobile in order to work on multiple installation points in a time-saving and efficient manner. Sometimes they have to have a wide reach, so that workers can do their job without impacting ongoing production or so they can bypass large obstacles. Sometimes tight accessways, narrow halls, tight corners, and small setup areas or sensitive floor surfaces must be taken into account. Other times a high load capacity, the ability to cover large areas, or the unproblematic access to ceilings between girders and cross-bars. And lastly, jobs in closed areas have a different set of requirements regarding acceptable levels of noise and emissions.
